Oppo, bask in the beauty that is my awesome repaint-job of my rocker panels. They were originally red. Now they’re black, and they look awesome!! Almost as if the car came with them like that!
Also helps me stand out a bit more from other 944s I like to think; even if just a little bit.
So what do you lot think? ^_^
Also, my thermostat installation was a success too! No more running too hot for this car! It only took me until 4am Saturday morning from when I started earlier on Friday!! :p
Expect K-Logs and a new Ep of 944 Life on these things soon!

If I was suddenly put in charge of Porsche, I’d say, “Right, enough of this rear engine, mid engine crap. We’re now going to make proper sports cars. Break out the drawings for the 928, and the 944 and get to work!”

I like it. The clear paint protectors on my WRX are getting a bit ragged. This may be a good alternative.

I’m not 100% sold on the sweep on the wheel arch lips, but those rockers look great. Nice job, and good choice!

I like it. But why the gaps?

Great job, really goes with the styling of the car!

Oh those are adhesive stone guards to protect the flares from rock chips and such! And thanks! ^_^

The gaps are because of the placement of the stone guards and where the original rocker panel texture starts and ends. They end just below the door.

Ah, right on. They integrate well enough.

No offense but I’m not really a fan of this look, I prefer 944s when they’re more streamlined looking like this.
(This car is a 944 Turbo with GT Racing front splitter & slim rear bumper, 968 mirrors & door handles, ’90-’91 euro 944 Turbo spoiler, and Kinesis Supercup wheels.)

I personally don’t care for the look, but I think it is almost pulled off due to the black wheel centers. If not for the wheels it would look out of place. To possibly continue the theme, maybe someone could photoshop the mirrors black as well, or tint the windows to see how that would look. I think tint would definitely look good on the car, regardless of other modifications.

It only took a couple hours to mask, sand, and prime the panels. Then I painted one side on one day, then the next side on the next day. I then waited two days before adding more coats and here we have the finished product without any clear coat. I'm not sure if I'll clear coat it homestly.

That's what I was thinking myself! If the wheels didn't have black centers, I would've gone with matching paint (red).

You should paint the stone guards body color, then I’m all about it.
